"Meet Our Officers" introducing PO Ahmed Alagha


Ahmed was born in Ridgewood, NJ and raised in Prospect Park, NJ.  He attended Prospect Park Elementary School and went on to attend Manchester Regional High School in Haledon, NJ where he graduated in 2001.  Ahmed attended Bergen Community College.

Ahmed began his law enforcement career in 2004, for the Bergen County Police Department in Hackensack, NJ as a Public Safety Telecommunicator and also a Class I Special Police Officer for the Ridgefield Police Department in Ridgefield, NJ.  Ahmed became a police officer in 2009 and was hired by the William Paterson University Police Department Wayne, NJ where he attended the Passaic County Police Academy and graduated from class 09-37.  Ahmed was hired in 2012 by the Bergenfield Police Department as a transfer through the Intergovernmental Transfer Program.

Ahmed is involved in many community orientated programs such as the 4th grade program, Youth Academy Instructor, and as a D.A.R.E. Officer.  Ahmed is fluent in Arabic.  Ahmed is also assigned to Bicycle Patrol Unit of the department. 


When not at work, Ahmed likes to travel.  Ahmed likes to spend time with loving family, beautiful wife, and amazing daughter and son.  Ahmed will look to continue to serve the borough of Bergenfield proudly.
