"Meet Our Officers" introducing PO Firman Masri

Firman was born in Queens, NY and raised in Clifton, NJ.  He attended Clifton High School and graduated in 2001, then attended Bergen Community College.

Firman enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2003 and was with an infantry unit that trained in Japan, participated in a multinational peacekeeping exercise with the United Nations in Mongolia, and spent time in Norway with NATO in support of Exercise Battle Griffin.  Firman was also deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  During his time in the Marine Corps, Firman was a fire team leader and has gone through extensive training on firearms, combat lifesaving, and anti-terrorism.  Firman received numerous awards and unit citations and was honorably discharged.

In 2013, Firman was sworn in as a police officer for the Bergenfield Police Department and is currently assigned to the patrol division.  His military background will help him through his law enforcement career.

When not at work, Firman enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons and playing in an adult soccer league.  He is also the assistant coach of his son's recreation soccer team.
