On Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 8:00 am., a crossing guard
from Bergenfield Police Department was struck by a motor vehicle while on
post. The female guard is identified as
Jo-Ann Hans, age 60 of Bergenfield, NJ.
Officers were on scene and rendered aid immediately. The Bergenfield Volunteer Ambulance Corp and
paramedics responded to the scene. The
victim was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center for her injuries.
The vehicle was driven by Pawothil Abraham, age 63 of
Bergenfield. The driver refused medical
aid at the scene.
