                                                MEDIA RELEASE-INCIDENT

INCIDENT:    Fire-General

OCCURRED: January 31, 2015     Time:  1202 PM

LOCATION: 29 N. Washington Ave   St. John’s RC Church      Rectory  

            The Bergenfield Police Department received a 911 call reporting a fire at the St. John’s RC Church. The fire was reported to be located in the rectory which is an adjacent building to the main church building. Bergenfield Fire units responded to the scene of this working fire. At this time, there are no reported injuries and the fire is under control. Assisting at the fire scene are Bergenfield Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Tenafly, New Milford,  Dumont, Englewood and Teaneck Fire Departments. The area around the scene is barricaded. Street closure is N Washington Avenue between Church Street and Main Street. The cause of the fire is under investigation. All further media inquiries should be forwarded to the Bergenfield Fire Department.
