Drug Arrest September 9, 2015

           Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli announced the arrest of GLEN S. THOMASSINI, age 43 of Bergenfield, New Jersey on drug charges as well as the possession of a firearm while in the commission of a drug offense.  This arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor=s Office Narcotic Task Force under the direction of Chief Carmen MARTINO, the Dumont Police Department under the direction of Chief Joseph L. FAULBORN, the Bergenfield Police Department under the direction of Chief Cathy MADALONE and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department under the direction of Sheriff Michael SAUDINO.

 During the past month, detectives began investigating Glen S. THOMASSINI after receiving information that he was involved in marijuana sales in the northeast section of Bergen County.  Pursuant to the investigation, detectives applied for a search warrant for Mr. THOMASSINI’S residence and were subsequently granted authorization to conduct this search by the Honorable Edward A. Jerejian, J.S.C.

 On September 9, 2015, the Bergen County Regional SWAT Team and detectives from the Bergen County Narcotic Task Force executed the search warrant and seized over one (1) ounce of crack cocaine, sixteen (16) capsules of MDMA aka “Molly”, fifteen (15) Xanax bars, over seven (7) ounces of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a .380 Diamondback handgun, ball round ammunition and $8,058.00. 

 Glen S. THOMASSINI was charged with one (1) count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Crack Cocaine, a second degree crime; one (1) count of Possession of a Firearm while in the course of committing a Drug Offense, a second degree crime; one (1) count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Marijuana, a third degree crime; one (1) count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely MDMA aka “Molly”, a third degree crime; one (1) count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Xanax, a third degree crime; and one (1) count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Psilocybin aka “Mushrooms”, a third degree crime. Bail for Mr. THOMASSINI was set by the Honorable Giuseppe Randazzo, J.M.C. at $100,000.00 with no ten percent cash option.  Mr. THOMASSINI was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of bail.

 Prosecutor Molinelli states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and would like to thank the Dumont Police Department, the Bergenfield Police Department and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department for their assistance in this investigation.
